The People
We’re Dan, Tayne and Harley! When we bought our farm we were just Dan and Tayne. After adjusting to the reality of not being able to have children we were over the moon to welcome Harley. Our little miracle baby! Whilst this slowed our plans somewhat it was absolutely worth the pay off. We’re committed to straight forward communication, great quality products, top level animal care but mostly to each other.
The Land
In 2024, after years spent working demanding jobs that didn’t inspire us, we took a leap of faith and purchased our own piece of paradise. It was a property with great bones and plenty of potential — the kind of place that needed vision, care, and a willingness to get our hands dirty.
Today, we’re proud to call this protected farm home. Nestled in the foothills of Tamban State Forest, the land offers a rare blend of open cleared paddocks, gently regenerating country, and pockets of protected Old Growth forest. A meandering creek winds along the property, bringing life and character to a landscape we feel incredibly fortunate to steward.
What drew us here wasn’t just the beauty — it was the opportunity to build something meaningful, to restore, improve, and honour the land while creating a life we truly love.
The Name
It took 18 months of waiting, but in early 2026, the name finally revealed itself: Ochre Ridge.
The name is a tribute to the towering Grey Gums that guard the ridge where our farmhouse sits. Each year, these giants shed their bark to reveal a breathtaking transformation—shifting from muted tones into a vibrant palette of beige, yellow, glowing orange, and dramatic ochre red.
